Ingredients:
- All purpose flour - 2 cups
- Sugar - 2 ¼ cups
- Cocoa powder - ¾ cup
- Baking powder - 1 ½ teaspoons
- Baking soda - 1 ½ teaspoons
- Vegetable oil - ½ cup
- Milk - 1 ¼ cup
- Eggs -2 Nos
- Vanilla extract - 2 teaspoons
- Boiling water - 1 cup
- Salt - 1 teaspoon
- Chocolate Frosting
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 350°F.
- Grease and flour two 9-inch round baking pans, keep aside.
- In a bowl, mix together the sugar, flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, salt and set aside.
- In a mixing bowl, add eggs, milk, oil and vanilla; beat on medium speed for 2 minutes.
- Add the prepared flour mix little by little into this and beat on medium speed till fluffy or smooth.
- Stir in boiling water (batter will be thin).
- Pour batter into prepared pans and bake 30 to 35 minutes or until wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean.
- Cool 10 minutes; remove from pans to wire racks and allow to cool completely.
- Prepare Chocolate Frosting and frost the cake.
