Ingredients:
- All-purpose flour - 2 cup
- Cocoa powder - ½ cup
- Unsalted butter - 1 cup / 2 stick, at room temperature
- Granulated sugar - 1 ¾ cup
- Baking powder - 1 Table spoon
- Milk - ¾ cup
- Eggs - 4 Nos
- Vanilla extract - 2 Tablespoon
- Broken Cashewnut/Walnut - as required(approx ½ - ¾ cup), optional
- Salt - 1 Teaspoon
Instructions:
- Preheat the oven to 350° F.
- Arrange parchment paper in a 9x13 inch baking pan and keep aside.
- Mix together all-purpose flour, cocoa powder, baking powder and salt in a small bowl.
- Beat butter in a large mixing bowl with electric mixer on medium speed until softened. Add granulated sugar and vanilla; beat until light and fluffy.
- Add and beat eggs one at a time; scraping down sides of bowl frequently.
- Alternately add flour mixture and milk into this and beat on medium-low speed until mixed and fluffy.
- Pour the batter into the prepared pan; Sprinkle the broken cashew nut/walnut pieces over the batter. Bake for about 30-40 minutes or until a wooden skewer inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Cool completely on a wire rack.
