   Happy Diwali   

Ingredients:
  • All-purpose flour - 2 cup
  • Cocoa powder - ½ cup
  • Unsalted butter - 1 cup / 2 stick, at room temperature
  • Granulated sugar - 1 ¾ cup
  • Baking powder - 1 Table spoon
  • Milk - ¾ cup
  • Eggs - 4 Nos
  • Vanilla extract - 2 Tablespoon
  • Broken Cashewnut/Walnut - as required(approx ½ - ¾ cup), optional
  • Salt - 1 Teaspoon
Instructions:
  1. Preheat the oven to 350° F.
  2. Arrange parchment paper in a 9x13 inch baking pan and keep aside.
  3. Mix together all-purpose flour, cocoa powder, baking powder and salt in a small bowl.
  4. Beat butter in a large mixing bowl with electric mixer on medium speed until softened. Add granulated sugar and vanilla; beat until light and fluffy.
  5. Add and beat eggs one at a time; scraping down sides of bowl frequently.
  6. Alternately add flour mixture and milk into this and beat on medium-low speed until mixed and fluffy.
  7. Pour the batter into the prepared pan; Sprinkle the broken cashew nut/walnut pieces over the batter. Bake for about 30-40 minutes or until a wooden skewer inserted in the center comes out clean.
  8. Cool completely on a wire rack.
