Ingredients:
- Large Tomatoes - 3 Nos
- Onion - 1 Nos, medium sized; chopped
- Crushed garlic - ¾ Teaspoon
- Kasuri methi - 1 Tablespoon
- Brown sugar - 1 Teaspoon
- Cinnamon powder - 1 pinch
- Nutmeg powder - 1 pinch
- Pepper powder - ¼ Teaspoon
- Clove - 1 Nos
- Water - 2-3 cups
- Salt to taste
- Vegetable oil - 1 Tablespoon
Instructions:
- Apply some oil on tomatoes and roast over fire, peel the skin; Make a paste and set aside.
- Heat oil in a pan add chopped onions, crushed garlic and saute till the onion becomes translucent. Cool and make a fine paste.
- Add the onion paste in the same pan; Add the prepared tomato paste into it and saute for a minute .
- Then add the kasuri methi, brown sugar, clove, cinnamon powder, pepper powder, nutmeg powder, salt and mix well.
- Now add water and cook till the soup thickens slightly.
- Remove from flame and serve hot.
Notes:
- You can use same quantity of jaggery instead of brown sugar.
- Remove the tomatoes from fire, when it starts cracking the skin and the skin started shrinking all the sides.
