- Almonds - 10 Nos, chopped
- Cardamom powder - ½ Teaspoon
- Ghee - 3-4 Tablespoon
Instructions:
- Blend together the sliced strawberries and sugar, until smooth.
- Then add in the corn flour and water into the blender, blend until everything mix together.
- Pour the prepared strawberry puree in a heavy bottomed wide pan and stir continuously on low-medium heat.
- After 10-12 minutes, the mix will start to thicken, add 1 tablespoon of ghee and continue stirring. We need to stir continuously for another 25-30 minutes. So don't forget to add ghee, 1 tablespoon at a time, at regular intervals.
- After 18-20 minutes, the halwa will turn glossy. Then add in the cashew nut, almond pieces and mix well.
- Then add in the cardamom powder and stir continuously.
- In the meantime, grease a tray with ghee and set aside.
- After 25-30 minutes, the halwa will start to leave the sides of the pan.
- In about 35-40 minutes, the halwa will come together as a whole mass and you can see the ghee oozing out of the halwa.
- Once you see the ghee oozes out of the halwa, keep stirring for another 2-3 minutes on low heat.
- Then remove it from heat and transfer to the greased tray, press and level it with the back of a spoon or cup.
- Let it cool and set, then flip the tray in an open plate and cut into desired shapes.
