Ingredients:
- Boneless chicken - 500 Gms, cut into small pieces
- Schezwan Sauce - ¼ cup
- Onion, small sized - 1 Nos, finely sliced
- Capsicum, cubed - ¾ cup
- Spring Onion whites, chopped - 2 Tablespoon
- Spring Onion greens, chopped - 3 Tablespoon
- Water - ¼ cup
- Salt as needed
- Vegetable oil - 2 Tablespoon + to deep fry
For Marination:
- Dark Soy Sauce - 1 Tablespoon
- Garlic paste - 1 Tablespoon
- Vinegar - ½ Tablespoon
- Corn flour - ¼ cup
- Pepper powder - 1 Teaspoon
- Salt to taste
Instructions:
Initial Preparation:
- Clean and wash the chicken pieces, drain the water completely.
- Marinate the chicken pieces with the ingredients mentioned in 'For Marination' and set aside for at-least 30 minutes.
- Heat enough oil to deep fry the chicken pieces, add in the chicken pieces as batches and fry until light golden brown on medium heat.
- Transfer to a paper towel and set aside.
Schezwan Chicken Preparation:
- Heat 2 tablespoon of oil in a pan, add in the onion and saute until onion turns light golden on low-medium heat.
- Now add in the cubed capsicum and chopped spring onion whites and saute for 1-2 minutes on low heat.
- Now add in the Schezwan Sauce, ¼ cup water and mix well. Stir until the sauce thickens on medium heat.
- Add in the fried chicken, toss well and fry for 1-2 minutes on low heat.
- Remove from heat, garnish with chopped spring onion greens and serve hot with fried rice.
