Ingredients:
- Vermicelli ~ semia - 100 Gms
- Milk - 1 ½ litre
- Condensed Milk - 2 Tablespoon
- Water - 1 cup
- Sugar - 6-10 Tablespoon
- Cashew Nuts - 8-10 Nos
- Raisins - 6-8 Nos
- Cardamom Powder - ½ Teaspoon
- Ghee - 2 Tablespoon
Instructions:
- Heat ghee in a heavy bottomed pan, add in the cashew nuts. When it slightly browned, add in the raisins.
- Fry till the raisins puffs up, transfer to a bowl and keep it aside.
- Then add the vermicelli in the same pan ( add more ghee if required ), roast until golden brown in color.
- Now add in 1 liter of milk, water, sugar and mix well. Cook over medium heat till the payasam becomes thick. Stir occasionally.
- Then add in the remaining milk, condensed milk, fried nuts, raisins, cardamom powder and mix well. Cook for another 10 minutes or till it becomes medium thick on low heat.
- Remove from heat and serve warm.
