Ingredients:
- Cleaned and deveined Prawns - 250 Gms
- Onion, large sized - 1 Nos, chopped
- Tomato, large sized - 1 Nos, chopped
- Green chilli - 2 Nos, chopped
- Ginger - 1 medium piece, finely chopped
- Garlic - 6-8 cloves, finely chopped
- Kashmiri Chilli Powder - 1 Tablespoon
- Turmeric Powder - ¼ Teaspoon
- Pepper Powder - 1 Teaspoon, adjust according to your taste
- Cumin powder - ½ Teaspoon
- Coconut bits - ¼ cup
- Coconut milk - 1 cup, medium thick
- Mustard seeds - ½ Teaspoon
- Coconut oil - 3-4 Tablespoon
- Curry leaves - 1 sprig
- Salt to taste
Instructions:
- Heat oil in a pan, splutter mustard seeds. Add in the coconut bits and fry till light brown in color.
- Add curry leaves, chopped onion, ginger, garlic, green-chilli and saute till the onion turns to light brown color.
- Add in the chopped tomato and saute till it becomes well mashed.
- Add cleaned prawns and fry for 3-4 minutes; Then add the powders and fry for 2 minutes on low-medium heat.
- Add in the coconut milk, salt and combine well; Cover and cook for 20-25 minutes or until the gravy is thick and the prawns are cooked well on low-medium heat. Don't forget to stir in between.
- Serve warm :)
