Ingredients:
- Ribeye Steak - 400-500 Gms
- Sweet Yellow Onion - 1 medium sized, chopped
- Bell Pepper - 1 medium sized, chopped
- Finely crushed Garlic - ½ Teaspoon + ¾ Teaspoon
- Black Pepper powder, as needed
- Salt to taste
- Butter 1-2 Tablespoon, at room temperature
- Olive oil - 2-3 Tablespoon
- Italian sandwich Hoagie rolls or any long and soft sandwich rolls of your choice - 2 - 3 Numbers
- Provolone cheese - 2 - 3 slices
- Cheddar cheese - 2 - 3 slices
Instructions:
Initial Preparation:
- Mix butter and ½ teaspoon of crushed garlic in a bowl.
- Slice the sandwich rolls lengthwise, by keeping the other end uncut.
- Spread the butter-garlic mixture into the sandwich rolls and keep it aside, to get a nice garlic flavor.
- Cut the Ribeye Steak into very thin slices and set aside.
Cooking Veggies:
- Heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil in a pan, add in the chopped onion and saute until slightly browned.
- Add in the chopped bell pepper and saute for 2-3 minutes on medium heat.
- Remove the onions and bell pepper from pan and set aside.
Philly Cheese Preparation:
- Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil into the same pan.
- Add in the beef slices and saute until the beef is lightly browned.
- Season with black pepper powder, salt and mix well. Cook for about 5 -6 minutes on medium heat. Stir occasionally.
- Then add in ¾ teaspoon of crushed garlic and mix well.
- Return the sauteed veggies into the pan and combine well with the steak pieces.
- Divide the mixture into 2-3 equal portions and arrange them lengthwise in the pan.
- Place a Provolone and cheddar cheese slice on top of each portion.
- Cover and cook until the cheese is melted on low heat.
- Meanwhile toast the prepared sandwich rolls until slightly golden in color.
- Once the cheese is melted, transfer the steak portions into the sandwich rolls.
- Serve hot :)
