   Happy Diwali   

Ingredients:
  • All purpose flour - 2 cup
  • Milk - ½ cup
  • Yogurt - 3 Tablespoon
  • Baking powder - ½ Teaspoon
  • Baking soda - ¼ Teaspoon
  • Sugar - 2 Teaspoon
  • Salt as required( approx ¾ - 1 Teaspoon)
  • Vegetable oil - 2 Tablespoon
  • Warm water for kneading - if required
  • Cumin seeds - as required( approx 1 - 1½ Tablespoon)
  • All-purpose flour for dusting
Instructions:
  1. In a bowl, mix together the all-purpose flour, baking powder, baking soda, sugar and salt.
  2. Add in the yogurt, oil and mix well.
  3. Then add in the milk as batches and knead well until you get a smooth and soft dough.
  4. Cover the dough with a damp cloth and set aside for 2-4 hours.
  5. Then make small lemon sized balls out of the dough.
  6. Lightly dust the work surface with all-purpose flour. Flatten each ball into a medium sized kulcha, using a rolling pin. It shouldn't be too thin. Make it as medium thick.
  7. Now sprinkle some cumin seeds on one side of the kulcha and press it gently using a rolling pin.
  8. Heat a flat pan, then place the kulcha on the pan. Flip to both sides and cook until both the sides are ¼ cooked.
  9. Apply some oil or butter on both sides of kulcha and cook till it get some light brown spots on both sides and evenly cooked.
  10. Serve hot or warm.
