Ingredients:
- Prawns - 250 Gms, peeled and deveined
- Onion, small sized - 1 Nos, thinly sliced
- Green chilies - 1-2 Nos, slit
- Curry leaves - 1 sprig
- Ginger-garlic paste - ½ Tablespoon
- Coriander powder - 1 Teaspoon
- Pepper powder - ½ - 1 Teaspoon
- Turmeric powder - ¼ Teaspoon
- Coconut oil - 2-3 Tablespoon
- Salt to taste
For Marination:
- Ginger-garlic paste - ½ Tablespoon
- Red chili powder - ¾ Teaspoon
- Black Pepper powder - 1 Teaspoon
- Cumin powder – ¼ Teaspoon
- Turmeric powder - ¼ Teaspoon
- Lemon juice - 2 Teaspoon
- Curry leaves - 1 sprig
- Salt - ½ Teaspoon
Instructions:
- Take the cleaned prawns and the ingredients mentioned in 'For Marination', in a bowl. Mix well and set aside for 1 hour.
- Heat oil in a pan, add in the sliced onion, green chilies, curry leaves and saute until the onions turn light brown.
- Now add in the ginger-garlic paste and fry until the raw smell disappears.
- Then add in the turmeric powder, coriander powder, pepper powder and fry for 1-2 minutes on low heat.
- Add in the marinated prawns and mix well. Cover and cook for about 5 minutes on low heat. Stir occasionally.
- After 5 minutes, open the pan and fry until the prawns are cooked well on low heat. Adjust salt.
- Serve hot.
Notes:
- It's a spicy prawns fry :) So adjust the quantity of pepper powder according to your spice tolerance level.
