Ingredients:
- All-purpose flour - 3 cups
- Baking powder - 1 ½ Teaspoon
- Melted Butter - 2 Tablespoon
- Salt - 1 ½ Teaspoon
- Warm water as required
Instructions:
- In a large bowl, add in the flour, baking powder, butter, salt and mix well.
- Pour in the warm water little by little and mix well. Knead it well and make a soft dough.
- Cover it with a damp cloth and let it stand for about 20-30 minutes.
- Then divide the dough into 12 equal balls.
- Roll each ball using a rolling pin and make a very thin tortilla. Roll it out as thin as you can.
- Heat a pan, cook each tortillas for a few seconds on each side or until bubbly and light golden spots on both sides over medium-high heat. Do not overcook.
- Cover the cooked tortillas using a towel or keep it in a large bowl and cover it with lid to keep them soft and hot.
- Serve warm.
Yield: Makes 12 medium-large sized tortillas.
