Ingredients:
- Medium sized Cauliflower - 1 Nos ,cut into florets
- Turmeric Powder - ½ Teaspoon
- Salt - ½ Teaspoon
- Water - 3 cups
- Oil for deep frying
For Batter:
- All-Purpose Flour - ½ cup
- Cornflour - ½ cup
- Pepper Powder - 1 Teaspoon
- Baking Soda - ½ Teaspoon
- Dark Soy Sauce - 1 Teaspoon
- Water as required
- Salt to taste
For masala:
- Finely chopped Onion - ¾ cup
- Finely chopped Garlic - 4-5 cloves
- Finely chopped Green Chillies - 2 Nos
- Chopped Spring onion whites- 1 Tablespoon
- Dark Soy Sauce - 1 Teaspoon
- Red Chilli Sauce - 1 Teaspoon
- Pepper Powder - 1 Teaspoon
- Vegetable oil - 1 Tablespoon
- Curry leaves - 1 sprig
- Sugar - ½ Teaspoon
- Salt to taste
For Garnishing:
- Chopped Spring onion greens - 1 Tablespoon
- Chopped Coriander Leaves - 2-3 Tablespoon
Instructions:
- Boil water in a pan, add salt and turmeric powder; Remove from flame and soak cauliflower florets for 2 minutes; Drain and keep aside.
- Mix all the ingredients for batter to a smooth paste but it should be slightly thick.
- Dip the drained cauliflower florets in the batter and make sure that each floret is well coated.
- Deep fry the coated florets in hot oil until golden brown; Drain and keep it in paper towel.
- Heat oil in a frying pan; Add chopped onions, spring onion whites, garlic, chillies, curry leaves and sauté for one minute on high flame.
- Now lower the heat; Add salt, sugar, dark soy sauce, red chilli sauce and mix well.
- Add fried cauliflower florets into this and mix well.
- Add pepper powder, chopped spring onion greens, coriander leaves and mix well; Serve hot.
