Ingredients:
- Tuna fish - 300 Gms, cut into small cubes
- Onion, small sized - 1 Nos, sliced or cubed
- Red Bell Pepper, small sized - 1 Nos, sliced or cubed
- Yellow Bell pepper, small sized - 1 Nos, sliced or cubed
- Garlic - 3 medium cloves, finely chopped
- Ginger - 1 small piece, finely chopped
- Green chillies - 2-3 Nos, sliced
- Vegetable Oil - 1 Tablespoon + enough oil to fry the fish pieces
- Black pepper powder - ¼ Teaspoon
- Salt to taste
For the sauce:
- Tomato ketchup - 3 Tablespoon
- Sweet chili sauce - 1 Tablespoon
- White Vinegar - 1-2 Tablespoon, adjust
For Marination:
- Red chilli powder - 1 Teaspoon
- Lime juice - 1 Tablespoon
- Salt to taste (approx: 1 Teaspoon)
Instructions:
Initial Preparation:
- Clean and wash the fish pieces. Drain the water completely.
- In a bowl, add in the cleaned fish and the items mentioned in 'For marination'. Mix well and set aside for 20 minutes.
- In another bowl, mix together the ingredients listed in 'For the sauce' and set aside.
Deviled Tuna Preparation:
- Heat oil in a pan, fry the marinated fish pieces until golden brown. Transfer to a paper towel and set aside.
- Heat 1 tablespoon of oil in a pan, add in the chopped garlic, ginger, green chillies and saute for 20-30 seconds in low heat.
- Add in the sliced onion and saute until the onions are slightly soft.
- Then add in the sliced bell peppers and saute for about 30 seconds in high heat.
- Now add in the prepared sauce and combine well in low heat.
- Add the fried fish pieces, pepper powder and salt into the pan. Mix well and fry for 1-2 minutes on low heat.
- Remove from heat and keep it covered for 10 minutes.
- Serve warm with rice.
