Ingredients:
- All-purpose flour - 2 ¼ cup
- Custard powder - 1 cup
- Powdered sugar - 1 - 1 ¼ cup
- Unsalted butter, melted - 1 ½ cup, 3 sticks
- Vanilla essence - 1 Teaspoon
Instructions:
- Preheat the oven to 350°F.
- Line a cookie sheet with parchment paper and set aside.
- In a bowl, add in the all-purpose flour, powdered sugar, custard powder and mix well.
- In a mixing bowl, add in the melted butter and vanilla essence. Combine well.
- Add the flour-custard-sugar mixture into this and kneed until you have a smooth dough.
- Make small lemon sized balls out of the dough, slightly flatten each ball using your palm.
- Place it in the cookie sheet, press the balls down with a fork to make the design.
- Bake for about 18-20 minutes. Remove from oven and let it cool in cookie sheet for 5 minutes.
- Transfer to a wire-rack and allow to cool completely. Store it in an airtight container and use as needed.
Yield: Makes about 40-50 cookies.
