Ingredients:
- Sweetened Condensed Milk - 1 tin (400g)
- Grated Fresh Coconut - 280 gms (4 cups)
- Dried Coconut powder/flakes - ½ to ¾ cup ( approx 50 gms to 75 gms)
- Cardamom powder - ½ teaspoon
- Ghee - 1 ½ tablespoons
Instructions:
- Heat ghee in thick bottomed pan, add the fresh grated coconut and saute for 1 minute over medium flame, then add the cardamom powder and mix well.
- Then add condensed milk and mix well. Stirring constantly, so that it does not stick to the bottom of the pan.
- Once the mix is hot, lower the heat and cook till the mixture starts leaving the sides of the pan for about 5 minutes. Don't forget to stir continuously. Remove from heat and let it cool slightly.
- Now grease your hands with ghee, take some of the mixture and roll into ball. Roll the prepared balls in the dried coconut powder/flakes.
Yield : Makes 20-25 ladoos, depends on the ladoo size.
