   Happy Diwali   

Ingredients:
  • All-purpose flour - 2 ¼ cups
  • Semisweet chocolate chips - 2 cups( 350 gms approx )
  • Unsalted butter(room temperature) - 1 cup (230 gms approx)
  • Granulated sugar - ½ cup
  • Light brown sugar - 1 cup
  • Vanilla extract - 2 Teaspoon
  • Baking soda - ½ Teaspoon
  • Eggs - 2 Nos
  • Salt - 1 Teaspoon
Instructions:
  1. Preheat oven to 350°F.
  2. In a bowl, add in the flour and baking soda. Mix well and set aside.
  3. In a large bowl, add in the butter, granulated sugar, light brown sugar and beat until fluffy on medium speed .
  4. Add in the salt, vanilla extract, eggs and beat until mixed well.
  5. Now add the flour mixture little by little and mix until just combined. Stir in the chocolate chips.
  6. Drop heaping tablespoon-size balls of dough about 2 inches apart onto ungreased baking sheets.
  7. Bake 8 to 10 minutes or until cookies are golden around the edges (centers will be soft), remove from oven.
  8. Let cool on baking sheet for 1 to 2 minutes, transfer to a wire rack, and allow to cool completely.
  9. Store cookies in an airtight container.

Yield: Makes about 3 dozen
