Ingredients:
- Boneless chicken - 500 Gms, cut into small pieces
- Spring onion greens chopped for garnishing
For Marination:
- Ginger-garlic paste - 1 Teaspoon
- Sweet Chilli sauce - 1 Tablespoon
- Soy sauce - 1 Tablespoon
- Pepper powder - ½ Teaspoon
- Salt - ½ Teaspoon
For frying:
- Corn flour - 4 Tablespoon
- All-purpose flour - 2 Tablespoon
- Kashmiri red chilli powder - 1 Teaspoon
- Egg white - 1 Nos, beaten
- Salt - one small pinch
- Vegetable Oil for deep frying
For Sauce:
- Soy sauce - 1 Tablespoon
- Sweet Chilli sauce - 1 Tablespoon
- Kashmiri red chilli powder - 1 Teaspoon
- Sugar - 1 Teaspoon
For Chilli Chicken Masala:
- Onion, medium sized - 1 Nos, cubed
- Chopped garlic - 1 ½ Tablespoon
- Bell pepper, big sized - 1 Nos, cubed
- Green chilies - 3 Nos, chopped
- Chopped spring onion white - 1 Tablespoon
- Tomato sauce - 1 Tablespoon
- Vegetable oil- 3 Tablespoon
- Salt as required
Instructions:
Initial Preparation:
- Clean and wash the chicken pieces, then pat dry the chicken pieces using a paper towel.
- Marinate chicken with the items mentioned in 'For marination' and set aside for 1 hour.
- After 1 hour, add in corn flour, all-purpose flour, kashmiri red chilli powder, egg white and salt into the marinated chicken and mix well.
- Heat oil in a deep pan and fry the chicken pieces as batches by stirring occasionally till the chicken is golden in color and cooked well. Do not over fry.
- Transfer to a paper towel and set aside.
Sauce Preparation:
- In a bowl, add in the items mentioned under 'For Sauce' and mix well. Set aside.
Chilli Chicken Preparation:
- Heat 3 Tablespoon of oil in a deep wide pan, add chopped garlic and fry for a minute.
- Add in the chopped onions, bell pepper, green chillies, spring onion whites and fry till they become slightly soft for about 1 or 2 minutes.
- Add in the prepared sauce and keep stirring until the sauce starts to bubble up and everything combined well.
- Now add in the fried chicken and saute on high flame for 2 to 3 minutes.
- Add in the tomato sauce and combine well on low heat. Check for salt.
- Remove from heat, sprinkle chopped spring onion greens on top and serve hot with fried rice or rotis.
