Ingredients:
- Carrots - 300 Gms
- Milk - ¾ cup
- Sugar - 3 Tablespoon, adjust according to your taste
- Ghee - 3 Tablespoon
- Condensed milk - 4 Tablespoon, adjust according to your taste
- Cardamom powder - ¼ Teaspoon
- Cashew Nuts - 6 Nos, chopped
- Almonds - 6 Nos, chopped
Instructions:
- Wash, peel and grate the carrots.
- Heat ghee in a heavy bottomed deep pan, roast the chopped cashew nuts, almonds till light golden brown; Remove from ghee and set aside.
- Add the grated carrots in the same pan, and sauté for 10 minutes on low flame; Or till the raw smell disappears. Carrots should be tender and slightly changed in color.
- Add the milk and cook till the milk dries up. It will take approx 15 minutes; Stirring continuously.
- Now add sugar, cardamom powder, condensed milk, half of the crushed cashew nuts and almonds; Sauté until the halwa starts to leave the side of the pan. It will take approx 4-8 minutes.
- Garnish with the remaining almonds and cashew nuts.
