Ingredients:
- Finely chopped Cabbage - 2 ½ cup
- Red Pearl Onions - 5-8 Nos, finely chopped
- Grated coconut - ¾ cup
- Green chilli - 2 Nos, finely chopped
- Finely chopped Ginger - ½ Teaspoon
- Turmeric powder - ½ Teaspoon
- Curry leaves - 1 sprig
- Salt to taste
For Tempering:
- Mustard seeds - ½ Teaspoon
- Dried red chilli - 1 Nos
- Coconut oil - 2 Tablespoon
Instructions:
- In a bowl, add in the grated coconut, chopped cabbage, pearl onions, green chillies, ginger, turmeric powder, curry leaves, salt and mix well using your hands. Let it sit for 5 minutes.
- Heat oil in a pan, splutter mustard seeds. Then add in the dried chilli and fry for few seconds on low heat.
- Lower the heat, add in the cabbage mixture and combine well.
- Bring everything to the center of the pan and pat down the mixture tightly using the back of a spoon. Cover and cook for 10-15 minutes on very low heat. In between, stir 2-3 times to make sure that the bottom is not getting burned. Adjust salt, if required.
- Once the cabbage is cooked well, remove the lid and stir fry for another 2-4 minutes on low-medium heat.
- Serve hot with rice.
